This is the seventh generation of the family to farm this land with property being initially farmed and settled 1828.

With over 60% of the property being rugged native bush and pasture Benham is highly suited to fine wool and sheep production. The sheep must have a strong constitution to be able to thrive in this environment with minimal human interference.

The aim is to produce the highest quality fiber by breeding and caring for healthy sheep capable of producing the softest, whitest wool that can be made into quality garments suited to wear against the skin and capable of adapting to all climates right across the world.

Benham is currently running 20,000 sheep, producing 60,000 kgs of 16.2 micron average.
